Toto is a fictional dog from the L. Frank Baum series of children’s books. Toto’s name has long “O” sound and is a homophone of “toe toe”. Toto was created by W. He is a lovable and loyal companion to Dorothy and is a favorite among young children. A dark gray Schnauzer played the role of Toto in the 1977 movie version of the Wizard of Oz.
