This starts your turn before the five-card minimum, meaning if you have draw poker chips you must place them face down on the table before betting begins. When you draw the five cards and then bet, you must first look at the top four cards before putting your money into the pot. In a normal game of poker, you would raise before looking at the cards, but in draw poker, you only need to look at the four. This means you are betting less and getting a better ratio.
The third poker strategy is called the no-limit hold’em defense strategy. If you have a good hand, you may bet out, but you should always have a good plan in case your hand gets weak. For instance, if your opponents have four cards in the middle and you have a five-card hand, you should fold if there is an open top in the middle because otherwise you could lose the pot to your opponents.
The fourth poker strategy is called the wild card play. Wild cards refer to any pair of cards that are equivalent to a regular poker hand. Regular poker hands consist of the two best cards (jack and straight) and either a full house or flush. In the wild card game, any two cards can be played, including the four of a kind.
